The Palouse

The unique rolling hill landscape of the Palouse is known as the “Tuscany of America”.

Whitman County, WA is the top wheat producing county, and second highest barley producer in the U.S. The sand dune appearance of the hills were created over thousands of years by wind-blown dust and silt called “loess”.   The Palouse is an amazing experience in the abstract and surreal, and it becomes a whole new game when shooting from above.
